Document Requests

The West Gulf Maritime Association administers the multiemployer collective bargaining agreements on behalf of the stevedores who use ILA labor, including the operation of a central payroll service. Those attorneys seeking payroll or personnel information from a stevedoring company, may want to direct their subpoena to the West Gulf Maritime Association.

A fee of $100 is assessed for requests for payroll information for each individual. A separate fee of $100 is assessed for requests for personnel files and safety documents relating to each individual. To release information, the West Gulf Maritime Association requires a subpoena. Please direct the deposition on written questions to the West Gulf Maritime Association. If you want all documents relating to an individual, please request: 1. all payroll records relating to the individual; and 2. all personnel and safety records relating to the individual. A more elaborate description of documents sought will not generate any additional documents.

Our normal response time is 30 days. Please advise if there is any objection to a response time of 30 days.

Send any subpoena and deposition on written questions to Nathan@wgma.org. The use of facsimiles will slow down any response. Please send payment to the West Gulf Maritime Association, 1717 East Loop, Suite 200, Houston, Texas 77029.
